Today I learnt...

How long do we have left till hand-in? More than two weeks...its not looking good!

YCN and D&ADone!

It's the end of term again! Where have all the weeks gone? We have handed in YCN and D&AD and we are pretty happy with all of our entries :)
All we have left to do now is re-work our portfolio and a 1000 word essay! Then its the final show and after that - free! Who know what we will be doing!

We now have a website! We still need to update the work but it should be up shortly!

Sunshine and Giggles

Well the sun was shining here today in Lincoln which made hunting for flowers and sympathy cards (D&AD) quite nice after all the rain at the weekend. We're hoping to shoot the ambients tomorrow after buying a shed load of flowers. Meanwhile I just came across this article which has brightened up my day even more.

So dissertations are handed in and a little weight has been lifted off our shoulders but of course no rest for the wicked!!! it's D&AD time!! 
After whittling down all the briefs we've chosen "make mine a builders" and "see what else you can do" a brief that is completely open. 
We've chosen to do this because in a previous workshop with the LEGEND Dave Morris we created an ad based around getting people to become paramedics, we saw this as a chance to develop it as both me jenny and dave really liked it!!
As for make mine a builders it's a chance to do what we do best.... drink tea!! and of course it's a chance to set ourselves a challenge as this brief is copy only!!
We'll keep you posted with our progress

Final Stretch....

so.... portfolio reviews are over and we're on the home straight!! It went rather well, some fair comments and some really good encouragement now it's time to truly show what we are made of!!! I 'spose you could class it as a little kick up the arse!! Cheers Mike and Gyles!!!

We're back at uni now and no rest for the wicked. We've got a new 3 day brief to be working on... Baked beans with pork sausages. The brief is really vague and it's totally up to us what direction we take it... had some unusual ideas so far!!

The big freeze .... the cold snap.... or whatever they are calling it these days! For most of us isn't really causing us any problems well it isn't for me anyway, it's just turned me into a big kid again. I've been busy throwing snowballs attempting to make an igloo... BIG fail!! and of course I've been making snowmen... in this case a SNOWLADY named SANDRA!!!! Hope you are all enjoying the snow!!! toodles!! Mirlah x

I've LOST HER!!!!

Jenny has been turned!! She watched Twilight last night, this afternoon and I have NO doubt in my mind that she'll be having a date with this Robert guy tonight! SAD TIMES!!!

I on the other hand am not giving in, even if Jenny is going to buy it and oh so kindly offered to lend it to me. :D
